Keep Google Play Books. Kahana is a free place to host work you already have and list it in the Library. The extra cost is the time to upload.
Use both
Google ebook store and reader.
Keep Google Play Books for titles you bought there. Put extras and discussion on Kahana.
People who already use Google Play Books can link a Kahana hub from there. Listing does not require leaving Google Play Books.
