Kahana has two note surfaces. Hub notes travel with the pack you share. Personal notes stay yours across hubs. Primary action: Open Notes Hub notes Inside a hub you own or collaborate on, add notes for intros, reading guides, and curriculum. Members of that hub see them with the files. In Settings → Notes you can pick Blocks or Classic (TinyMCE) as the hub notes editor. Personal notes Open kahana.io/notes for notes that are not tied to one hub listing. These are not a public blog. Smart links Insert or open links to a hub, file, author, or club from a note. That is how a reading guide points at the real artifact. A preview reel is a short trailer for your hub. On Library, it shows as a carousel when someone hovers or swipes the card, so they can sample the hub before they open it. Primary action: Open a hub you own → Hub settings → Preview reel What it is Preview reels are optional. They do not replace a cover image, title, or description. They give Library visitors a few clips: images or short videos: before they decide to open or buy. Limits Up to eight clips per hub Images or video (MP4 or WebM) Videos should stay around 30 seconds or less You can upload a new clip or pick a file already in the hub How to add one Open the hub and go to settings. Open the Preview reel studio. Add clips. Put the strongest trailer first: that is what people see first on the card. For images, you can reposition the crop so the important part stays in the carousel frame. Save. Check the listing preview before you list the hub on Library. You can deactivate your Kahana account from Settings. Permanent deletion follows in 30 days unless you sign in and cancel. Primary action: Open a hub → Add content → Import from Internet Archive How to import Open a hub you can edit. Choose Import from Internet Archive . Paste a details URL (for example https://archive.org/details/… ) or a download link. Look up the item. Confirm title, cover, PDF size, tags, and rights. Confirm you have the right to share, then import. If that Archive.org item is already in the hub, the dialog tells you instead of duplicating it.
